Shade turns 1!

For those of you who braved the park last month when it was just remarkably hot, we salute you! As a thank you to those who have been with us from the beginning and due to popular demand, we are headed back to the beach.

The Girls of Shade are turning one in August (the first Shade concept was born from divaDanielle's birthday party at the beach) and we pulled a permit for one last summer bash in the sand with the best in local talent.

On our roster this month a HOOOOOOOOOOOOOJ lineup of bangers, from housey house to dirty prog, this will be a party not to miss.

Due to entanglements with the neighbors and law at the last beach party, we are headed due north to Zuma Beach Tower 2 - we are generally left alone at Zuma and plan to party proper.

As always this is a LEAVE NO TRACE event and ALL COUNTY / CITY BEACH LAWS WILL BE IN EFFECT! If you decide to step outside the law and bring your own booze, we cannot condone such behavior but please be DISCREET (NO BOTTLES!)

On The Lineup:

FREDDY BE (Monday Night Social)
The creator of L.A.'s longest running electronica club will be throwing down a very special sunset set: THIS IS A DO NOT MISS SET. Freddy Be has brought the world's best DJ talent to Monday Night Social over the years and has consistently laid down sets that I have rocked out to. I can't recommend this set highly enough.

TODD SPERO (ToddSpero.com)
Todd Spero is one of L.A.'s big guns - he plays hard, fast and never apologizes. His last set at Venice Carnivale was a mind-blowing experience that left all the other DJs wondering where they could get the melodic, beautiful techno that he was throwing down.

MERLIN (The Merkins)
100 percent ass shaking mashup heaven with a disco-twist, Merlin's vinyl rubbin' has been pleasing Mountain Bar crowds since before you knew what house music was. A true master of the mash up, Merlin is our local disco hero straight out of 2 Many DJs bootcamp. It's silly, bouncy and always rockin'.

FAITH D'MARCO (SHADE)
Faith is the resident Shade grooveslinger and will be laying down a SICK reggae set close to sunset at the beach. No one knows downbeat better than Faith, so prepare to get soft-rocked like never before.

divaDanielle (SHADE/BURNcast) & Porter Tinsley (SHADE/HEAT)
The creators of Shade. What more do you want from us?
